A: I promise you, almost every couple tells me this before our session! My approach is entirely rooted in real, honest connection—meaning no stiff, forced poses or manufactured smiles. Instead, I focus on movement, gentle direction, and creating a space where you can simply be together. I’ll guide you into the best light and let your natural dynamic do the rest.
A: Yes, certain iconic locations in the Ottawa and Gatineau regions (like NCC lands, Gatineau Park summits, or specific historic properties) do require photography permits or have specific guidelines. Don't worry—scouting locations, navigating local regulations, and helping you secure the right permissions is entirely part of the service when you book with me.
Q: Do we need permits for elopements in Gatineau Park
A: To ensure every couple gets my full creative energy, I only take on a limited number of weddings and elopements each year. To officially secure your date on my calendar, I require a signed digital contract and a retainer payment. The remaining balance is due just prior to your celebration. Q: How do we lock in our date with you?
A: We embrace it. Some of the most breathtaking, moody, and deeply romantic images come from unexpected weather—crisp fog over the Ottawa River, a sudden valley downpour, or a soft northern snowfall. I always bring professional, weather-sealed gear and a creative eye. If you are down for a little adventure, the weather will only make your story more unique.
Q: What happens if it rains or snows on our wedding day?
A: I know how eagerly you’ll want to relive your day, so I always send a curated gallery of "sneak peeks" within 48 hours of your wedding. Your final, beautifully edited, high-resolution digital gallery will be delivered via a private online link within 6 to 8 weeks. From there, you can download, share, and access my heirloom print shop.
